Ann Marie Lindbloom is co-founder of AcuteTV. Her work as a producer, director, and writer has appeared on numerous networks, including NBC, CBS, E!, Style, GSN, and The Travel Channel. She recently wrapped a stint as a producer for Spike’s comedic action series, Wild World of Spike, where it was her job to come up with wacky ways to recreate odd sports from around the globe, including testicle weight-lifting, dwarf curling, and Luche Libre skateboarding with Tony Hawk.
Ann Marie has traveled the globe as a stand-up comic and while living in Amsterdam was a founding member of the Netherlands first all-female comedy troupe. She has trained at Circle in the Square, HB Studios, and the Stella Adler Conservatory. Currently she can be seen playing pranks on unsuspecting tourists in the Travel Channel series Tourist Scams and Rip-Offs Revealed. In recent months, Borat director Larry Charles saw Ann Marie performing as her Two Peas In Your Pod character and cast her in Baldwin Hills, an HBO sitcom pilot featuring Kanye West.
Jeff Venables is a screenwriter and actor whose feature-length romantic comedy The Getdown is currently in post-production, with plans to finish editorial in the first quarter of 2008. The film was co-written with director Ryan Williams, and stars Venables as a loser who happens upon a magic shirt that renders its wearer irresistible to women. The Getdown features appearances by Owen Wilson, Rosario Dawson, Kristen Bell, Jon Voight, Tracy Morgan, and Kevin Smith.
Before training with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater LA, Venables was pronounced a Finalist in the Writer’s Place Teleplay Competition for his pilot script Newsweakly and named a Quarterfinalist in the International Screenwriting Awards with his feature script The Cleaning Man. His screenplay Trick of Disaster scored in the top 15% of the Nicholl Fellowships.
Jeff has written and performed musical scores for documentaries, plays, short-form videos, and broadcast television, including an episode of MTV’s Choose or Lose that was inducted into the CTAM Hall of Fame. He sings an original song on The Getdown’s soundtrack; it is the full version of a serenade his character, Phil, performs in the film.
